CubicSDR is the software portion of Software Defined Radio. By using
hardware that converts RF spectrum into a digital stream we are able to
build complex radios to do many types of functions in software instead
of traditional hardware.
Paired with a supported hardware receiver, you can use CubicSDR to
explore the RF world around you. Discover Satellite transmissions,
Amateur Radio, Rail, Aeronautical, Shortwave, or any number of possible
signals floating through the air.

GeoIP is the proprietary technology that drives MaxMind's IP
geolocation data and services. GeoIP provides businesses with a
non-invasive way to determine geographical and other information
about their Internet visitors in real-time.
This SlackBuild packages a recent full set of GeoLite data files
(Creative Commons licensed), totalling 56Mb uncompressed.
To keep the data files up-to-date, see the geoipupdate SlackBuild.
If you don't want the full set of data files, you have three choices:
(1) You can download only the data files you want before running the
SlackBuild.
(2) You can remove the data files you don't want from the directory
/var/lib/GeoIP after installation.
(3) You can run the SlackBuild with the option 'MINIDATA=yes'. Only the
ipv4 and ipv6 country data will be packaged.
MINIDATA=yes ./GeoIP.SlackBuild
If you are using sbopkg and you have md5sum errors, you need to
delete your old data files from the cache and try again.
This product includes GeoLite data created by MaxMind,

Features
SoapySDR is an open-source generalized C/C++ API and runtime library
for interfacing with SDR devices. With SoapySDR, you can instantiate,
configure, and stream with an SDR device in a variety of environments.
Both osmosdr and uhd devices are available within SoapySDR. In
addition, vendors can directly support their hardware using SoapySDR
device modules. There are wrappers for both gr-osmosdr, uhd, and gr-uhd
to bring an ecosystem of existing applications to SoapySDR devices. And
SoapySDR has support for powerful platforms like GNU Radio and Pothos.

Axel accelerates the HTTP/FTP downloading process by using multiple
connections for one file. It can use multiple mirrors for a download.
Axel has no dependencies and is lightweight, so it might be useful as a
wget clone on byte-critical systems. Axel is the perfect utility for
those connections to wherever you are downloading from that may have a
limit on ftp stream speeds, http sessions that burst and slow down, or
servers with a slow connection.

bitlbee/README Normal file

@@ -0,0 +1,49 @@
BitlBee is an IRC instant messaging gateway licensed under the terms of
the GPL. It communicates with the end user via the IRC protocol whilst
interacting with popular chat networks such as AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo,
and Jabber. The user's buddies appear as normal IRC users in a channel,
and conversations use the private message facility of IRC.
After your installation you will need to configure bitlbee. There are
two ways starting bitlbee: Either as a forked daemon (preferred), or
the old way of starting it through inetd (mostly deprecated these days).
Bitlbee now includes a standard rc.bitlbee. To have this start on bootup,
add the following code to /etc/rc.d/rc.local for example
if [ -x /etc/rc.d/rc.bitlbee ]; then
/etc/rc.d/rc.bitlbee start
fi
If you choose to use inetd , you need to modify your /etc/inetd.conf
so bitlbee will be started when /etc/rc.d/rc.inetd is called on bootup.
Add the line below to your /etc/inetd.conf file:
6667 stream tcp nowait nobody /usr/sbin/tcpd /usr/sbin/bitlbee
Restart inetd (/etc/rc.d/rc.inetd restart). All that is left to do now
is connect your irc client to the localhost.
OTR (Off the record) is not compiled by default. If you want bitlbee
to compile with OTR capabilities, you'll need to install libotr from
Slackware and run the script as follows:
OTR=yes ./bitlbee.SlackBuild
From version 3.2 bitlbee offers some form of skype support, even though
this will not ever be part of bitlbee proper. Please see the documentation
in protocols/skype in the source package for information. You can run the
script as following:
SKYPE=yes ./bitlbee.SlackBuild
NOTE: The default "bot"/bitlbee daemon is called 'root'. This is not
the root user on your system. You can easily change it. Register and
identify yourself first, and then:
rename root BitlBot (or whatever you want)
NOTE: Since bitlbee now runs as a daemon instead of from inetd, bitlbee
runs under its own user (UID/GID: 250). If you have older databases
of bitlbee, you may want to change the permissions on the files in
/var/lib/bitlbee.

## BitlBee default configuration file
##
## Comments are marked like this. The rest of the file is INI-style. The
## comments should tell you enough about what all settings mean.
##
[settings]
## RunMode:
##
## Inetd -- Run from inetd (default)
## Daemon -- Run as a stand-alone daemon, serving all users from one process.
## This saves memory if there are more users, the downside is that when one
## user hits a crash-bug, all other users will also lose their connection.
## ForkDaemon -- Run as a stand-alone daemon, but keep all clients in separate
## child processes. This should be pretty safe and reliable to use instead
## of inetd mode.
##
RunMode = ForkDaemon
## User:
##
## If BitlBee is started by root as a daemon, it can drop root privileges,
## and change to the specified user.
##
User = bitlbee
## DaemonPort/DaemonInterface:
##
## For daemon mode, you can specify on what interface and port the daemon
## should be listening for connections.
##
DaemonInterface = 127.0.0.1
DaemonPort = 6667
## ClientInterface:
##
## If for any reason, you want BitlBee to use a specific address/interface
## for outgoing traffic (IM connections, HTTP(S), etc.), set it here.
##
# ClientInterface = 0.0.0.0
## AuthMode
##
## Open -- Accept connections from anyone, use NickServ for user authentication.
## (default)
## Closed -- Require authorization (using the PASS command during login) before
## allowing the user to connect at all.
## Registered -- Only allow registered users to use this server; this disables
## the register- and the account command until the user identifies itself.
##
AuthMode = Closed
## AuthBackend
##
## By default, the authentication data for a user is stored in the storage
## backend. If you want to authenticate against another authentication system
## (e.g. ldap), you can specify that here.
##
## Beware that this disables password changes and causes passwords for the
## accounts people create to be stored in plain text instead of encrypted with
## their bitlbee password.
##
## Currently available backends:
##
## - storage (internal storage)
## - pam (Linux PAM authentication)
## - ldap (LDAP server configured in the openldap settings)
#
AuthBackend = storage
#
## AuthPassword
##
## Password the user should enter when logging into a closed BitlBee server.
## You can also have a BitlBee-style MD5 hash here. Format: "md5:", followed
## by a hash as generated by "bitlbee -x hash <password>".
##
AuthPassword = ItllBeBitlBee ## Heh.. Our slogan. ;-)
## or
# AuthPassword = md5:gzkK0Ox/1xh+1XTsQjXxBJ571Vgl
## OperPassword
##
## Password that unlocks access to special operator commands.
##
OperPassword = ChangeMe!
## or
# OperPassword = md5:I0mnZbn1t4R731zzRdDN2/pK7lRX
## AllowAccountAdd
##
## Whether to allow registered and identified users to add new accounts using
## 'account add'
##
AllowAccountAdd 1
## HostName
##
## Normally, BitlBee gets a hostname using getsockname(). If you have a nicer
## alias for your BitlBee daemon, you can set it here and BitlBee will identify
## itself with that name instead.
##
HostName = localhost
## MotdFile
##
## Specify an alternative MOTD (Message Of The Day) file. Default value depends
## on the --etcdir argument to configure.
##
MotdFile = /etc/bitlbee/motd.txt
## ConfigDir
##
## Specify an alternative directory to store all the per-user configuration
## files. (.nicks/.accounts)
##
ConfigDir = /var/lib/bitlbee
## Ping settings
##
## BitlBee can send PING requests to the client to check whether it's still
## alive. This is not very useful on local servers, but it does make sense
## when most clients connect to the server over a real network interface.
## (Public servers) Pinging the client will make sure lost clients are
## detected and cleaned up sooner.
##
## PING requests are sent every PingInterval seconds. If no PONG reply has
## been received for PingTimeOut seconds, BitlBee aborts the connection.
##
## To disable the pinging, set at least one of these to 0.
##
PingInterval = 180
PingTimeOut = 300
## Using proxy servers for outgoing connections
##
## If you're running BitlBee on a host which is behind a restrictive firewall
## and a proxy server, you can tell BitlBee to use that proxy server here.
## The setting has to be a URL, formatted like one of these examples:
##
## (Obviously, the username and password are optional)
##
# Proxy = http://john:doe@proxy.localnet.com:8080
# Proxy = socks4://socksproxy.localnet.com
# Proxy = socks5://socksproxy.localnet.com
## Protocols offered by bitlbee
##
## As recompiling may be quite unpractical for some people, this option
## allows to remove the support of protocol, even if compiled in. If
## nothing is given, there are no restrictions.
##
Protocols = jabber yahoo
## Trusted CAs
##
## Path to a file containing a list of trusted certificate authorities used in
## the verification of server certificates.
##
## Uncomment this and make sure the file actually exists and contains all
## certificate authorities you're willing to accept (default value should
## work on at least Debian/Ubuntu systems with the "ca-certificates" package
## installed). As long as the line is commented out, SSL certificate
## verification is completely disabled.
##
## The location of this file may be different on other distros/OSes. For
## example, try /etc/ssl/ca-bundle.pem on OpenSUSE.
##
# CAfile = /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt
[defaults]
## Here you can override the defaults for some per-user settings. Users are
## still able to override your defaults, so this is not a way to restrict
## your users...
## To enable private mode by default, for example:
## private = 1

Submitted By: Armin K. <krejzi at email dot com>
Date: 2013-04-29
Initial Package Version: 5.17
Upstream Status: unknown
Origin: Arch Linux (Giovanni Campagna)
Description: Allow using obexd without systemd in the user session
Not all sessions run systemd --user (actually, the majority
doesn't), so the dbus daemon must be able to spawn obexd
directly, and to do so it needs the full path of the daemon.

chrony is a versatile implementation of the Network Time Protocol (NTP). It can
synchronise the system clock with NTP servers, reference clocks (e.g. GPS
receiver), and manual input using wristwatch and keyboard. It can also operate
as an NTPv4 (RFC 5905) server and peer to provide a time service to other
computers in the network.
It is designed to perform well in a wide range of conditions, including
intermittent network connections, heavily congested networks, changing
temperatures (ordinary computer clocks are sensitive to temperature), and
systems that do not run continuosly, or run on a virtual machine.
Typical accuracy between two machines synchronised over the Internet is within
a few milliseconds; on a LAN, accuracy is typically in tens of microseconds.
With hardware timestamping, or a hardware reference clock, sub-microsecond
accuracy may be possible.
Two programs are included in chrony, chronyd is a daemon that can be started
at boot time and chronyc is a command-line interface program which can be used
to monitor chronyd’s performance and to change various operating parameters
whilst it is running.

HOW TO CONNECT WITH A WEBDAV SERVER WITH THE DAVF2 APPLICATION
In this HOWTO, the user is named "chris"
Amend as required for your choice of username.
1. Login as root
2. Define a davfs2 group and user:
# groupadd -g 230 davfs2
# useradd -u 230 -d /var/cache/davfs2 -g davfs2 -s /bin/false davfs2
3. Build and install davfs2 as usual.
4. Add the user if not already defined. My user shall be called chris, so:
# adduser chris
Read the Slackbook for more details on adduser, choose default settings BUT:
with the default group list add also davfs2:
Press ENTER to continue without adding any additional groups
Or press the UP arrow to add/select/edit additional groups
: audio cdrom floppy plugdev video power netdev lp scanner davfs2
If the user was already defined, then add davfs2 to the groups:
# usermod -aG davfs2 chris
5. Edit /etc/fstab with the following line:
WEBDAV_SERVER_URL mount_point davfs noauto,user 0 0
For example:
https://example.org/chris /home/chris/mnt/dav davfs noauto,user 0 0
6. logout
7. Login again as your davfs user ("chris" in my case).
8. $ mkdir -p $HOME/.davfs2/certs/private/ $HOME/mnt/dav
9. Move the certificate to $HOME/davfs2/certs/private and restrict the permission to rw-------:
For example:
$ mv CERTIFICATE.PFX $HOME/.davfs2/certs/private/
$ chmod 600 $HOME/.davfs2/certs/private/CERIFICATE.PFX
10. Optionally: Copy the system configuration file. There are a lot of
interesting comments in these files that might be helpful.
$ cp /usr/share/davfs2/* $HOME/.davfs2/
11. Edit $HOME/.davfs2/davfs2.conf with the following line:
clientcert ~/.davfs2/certs/private/CERTIFICATE.PFX
Read:
$ man davfs2.conf
for all the details and options. Tests have shown that you might need more
than the line above, so you may want to read about other interesting
parameters, e.g.:
add_header Translate F
12. Edit $HOME/.davfs2/secrets with the following 2 lines:
/home/chris/mnt/dav username password
CERTIFICATE.PFX passphrase
The username and password are relevant to the Webdav server, not for the
local account.
passphrase is the password for the PFX certificate
You should obtain all these from the Webdav server Administrator
13. Restrict permssion for $HOME/.davfs2/secrets to rw-------:
$ chmod 600 $HOME/.davfs2/secrets
14. Mount the davfs service on $HOME/mnt/dav
$ mount $HOME/mnt/dav
You should be able to see your WEBDAV server on $HOME/mnt/dav/
15. When you would like to disconnect:
$ umount $HOME/mnt/dav
You should get a similar response (the pid number is random):
/sbin/umount.davfs: waiting while mount.davfs (pid 5700) synchronizes the cache .. OK

Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV), an extension to the HTTP-
protocol, allows authoring of resources on a remote web server. davfs2
provides the ability to access such resources like a typical filesystem,
allowing for use by standard applications with no built-in support for WebDAV.
Before running this SlackBuild, define a davfs2 group and a davfs2 user. The
davfs2 user shall have davfs2 as its initial login group, shall not have no
shell and the home directory shall be /var/cache/davfs. Examples:
# groupadd -g 230 davfs2
# useradd -u 230 -d /var/cache/davfs2 -g davfs2 -s /bin/false davfs2

DeaDBeeF (as in 0xDEADBEEF) is an audio player for GNU/Linux systems
with X11 (though now it also runs in plain console without X, in FreeBSD,
and in OpenSolaris).
Main features:
* mp3, ogg vorbis, flac, ape, wv, wav, m4a, mpc, cd audio (and many more)
* sid, nsf and lots of other popular chiptune formats
* ID3v1, ID3v2.2, ID3v2.3, ID3v2.4, APEv2, xing/info tags support
* character set detection for non-unicode id3 tags - supports cp1251 and
iso8859-1
* unicode tags are fully supported as well (both utf8 and ucs2)
* cuesheet (.cue files) support, with charset detection (utf8/cp1251/iso8859-1)
* tracker modules like mod, s3m, it, xm, etc
* HVSC song length database support for sid
* gtk2 interface with efficient custom widgets
* no GNOME or KDE dependencies
* minimize to tray, with scrollwheel volume control
* drag and drop, both inside of playlist, and from filemanagers and such
* control playback from command line
* global hotkeys
* plugin support; bundled with lots of plugins, such as global hotkeys and
last.fm scrobbler; sdk is included
* duration calculation is as precise as possible for vbr mp3 files (with and
without xing/info tags)
* was tested and works on x86, x86_64 and ppc64 architectures. should work on
most modern platforms
ffmpeg is an optional dependency for deadbeef.

Docker is an open-source project to easily create lightweight, portable,
self-sufficient containers from any application. The same container
that a developer builds and tests on a laptop can run at scale, in
production, on VMs, bare metal, OpenStack clusters, public clouds and
more.
To use docker as a limited user, add your user to the 'docker' group:
# groupadd -r -g 281 docker
# usermod -a -G docker <your_username>
This will require logging out and back in and also restarting docker
daemon.
To have the docker daemon start and stop with your host,
add to /etc/rc.d/rc.local:
if [ -x /etc/rc.d/rc.docker ]; then
/etc/rc.d/rc.docker start
fi
and to /etc/rc.d/rc.local_shutdown (creating it if needed):
if [ -x /etc/rc.d/rc.docker ]; then
/etc/rc.d/rc.docker stop
fi
If you are interested in enabling cgroup memory resource control over
swap as well, then append "swapaccount=1" to your kernel's parameters.
This is often in /etc/lilo.conf, on the "append" variable.
NOTE: google-go-lang is only needed at compile time - not needed for
runtime.
Docker doesn't support x86, only x86_64.
